Per Jason LaCanfora on Twitter, the Cleveland Browns have signed first-round draft choice Joe Haden:
“Browns agree to terms with Joe Haden: $12M signing bonus paid in 2010, $26M guaranteed, $50M max on a 5-yr deal.”
With Haden signed, the Browns now have all of their 2010 draft picks under contract. Haden signed after the team’s first session of training camp on Saturday, but still did not participate in the second session. He is expected to be on the field soon, probably during Sunday’s practice.

In a pre-camp interview with the media, Cleveland Browns team president Mike Holmgren was asked about the status of cornerback Joe Haden with respect to signing him:
“I think he could be in on (Saturday). We’re making progress. We’re going to negotiate fairly and honestly. With the No. 1 picks, you just need a domino to (fall) and then it starts to happen. We’ve had good discussions with Joe’s agent and hopefully he’ll get in without too much loss of time. It’s very important. I’ve experienced this with a lot of athletes, that they wait too long.’’

The rule of thumb is that players in the first round aren’t going to sign until a good percentage of the players taken after them are signed.
The first round signings are starting to trickle in, which might just put rookie cornerback Joe Haden in line to sign before training camp begins on July 31.
So far, Dallas’ Dez Bryant and New England’s Devin McCourty, both first-round selections, have agreed to terms.

The Cleveland Browns signed both of their third round draft picks today, QB Colt McCoy and OG Shawn Lauvao. Neither player was expected to holdout, so this continues the team’s upward progress in signing their draft picks.
McCoy received a four-year deal worth $4.96 million according to the Plain Dealer, which is slightly higher than what players usually receive at the spot he was taken.
Lauvao, on the other hand, will receive a four-year deal worth $3.22 million with a $697,000 signing bonus.
The only players that still need to be signed are first round CB Joe Haden, and second round RB Montario Hardesty and S T.J. Ward.

Things are looking good for the Cleveland Browns in their efforts to get first-round cornerback Joe Haden signed to a deal before the start of training camp, according to his agent:
“We’ve been in contact with the Browns and expect to begin negotiating next week,‘’ said agent Malik Shareef. "Our main objective is to get Joe in camp on time so he can perform to the best of his abilities. A holdout would not be in anyone’s best interests.’’
Haden is expected to compete for a starting cornerback role, but is ultimately projected to begin the season behind Sheldon Brown and Eric Wright.

The Cleveland Browns can say that they’ve successfully signed both of their sixth-round draft choices now. After signing DE Clifton Geathers last week, the team agreed to a four-year deal with WR Carlton Mitchell of Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Mitchell is expected with undrafted free agent Johnathan Haggerty to compete for a backup receiver spot if the team decides to fifth receiver this season.

The Cleveland Browns officially announced the signing of sixth-round defensive lineman Clifton Geathers today. Selected 186th overall, Geathers agreed to a multi-year deal. He is the first member of the Browns' 2010 draft class to reach an agreement with the team.
The team's other draft picks still have plenty of time to agree on a contract before training camp, which begins near the end of July. The team's other draft picks are as follows:
