Ohio State will do something for the first time this Saturday - play a road game. After spending all of September in the friendly confines of the Horseshoe, the No. 2 ranked Buckeyes head on the road to begin Big Ten play to a place that has given Ohio State little trouble in the recent past - Illinois.
The Buckeyes have won seven straight in Champaign, last losing to the Fighting Illini on the road in 1991. The past two seasons, the Buckeyes have rushed for a combined 541 yards in winning 30-20 in 2008 and 30-0 in 2009.
Ohio State, which has won five of six overall against Illinois, leads the series 62-30-4 and is 33-12 in Champaign.
