East-West Shrine Game: Who Are The Cleveland Browns Scouting?

With the 2011 East-West Shrine Game just a couple days away, scouts are hard at work assessing the personnel during workouts. Some of the biggest college names are in Orlando for Saturday's contest, and hopefully the Browns can pick up valuable information and assessments to pinpoint exactly who they are going to go after in April's NFL Draft. Here are some names that the Browns scouts have reportedly been looking at this week:

Marvin Austin, DT, UNC--Austin is the 6th-rated DT in ESPN's database, and is not currently in the first round of either of McShay or Kiper's Mock Drafts. There are serious question marks surrounding Austin, but this is a first round talent who could be worth taking a chance on in the 2nd round or later if he slips. Obviously, the Browns scouts want to see if he came to the Shrine game in shape and ready to play.

Bruce Miller, DE/OLB, UCF--A possible late-round steal, Miller played DE in college but might have to make the move to LB in the pros. He is exactly the type of player the Shrine game is made for. If Miller can come out and impress scouts, he could make an impact as a 3rd-5th round talent.

Caleb Schlauderaff, OT, Utah--A hardnosed, smart tackle, Schlauderaff was a third-team All American this year, and a very effective blocker. He is not the best athlete, but is also being scouted by the Colts and the Patriots, who seem to know a thing or two about drafting O-linemen. He would be another guy to look at in the later rounds.

Ricky Elmore, DE, Arizona--A tough passrusher out of Arizona, the 6'4", 255 lb Elmore has a high motor and really got after the quarterback this year, recording double-digit sacks. The Browns desperately need guys who will bring pressure, and Elmore is another name to keep tucked away for the 5th-7th rounds.
