The Texas Rangers will be going back to the World Series after eliminating the Detroit Tigers in six games, ending their series with a resounding 15-5 victory last night.
Maybe there was a reason that the Indians had such a hard time with the Rangers this year. Maybe Texas is just flat-out good.
And while I have absolutely no rooting interest in the Rangers, besides an obscure desire to see the American League win the Fall Classic, it is good to see that the team that was abandoned by Cliff Lee is going back to the Series, while the team Lee fled to — the Phillies — were eliminated in the first round.
