Cleveland St. Vs. South Florida: Vikings Fall To Bulls 70-55

Stay connected for news and updates

For the first time in more than three weeks and for just the second time all season, the Cleveland St. Vikings have lost.

The Vikings' five-game winning streak was snapped with a 70-55 road loss on Monday night to the South Florida Bulls.

While Cleveland St. has earned wins mostly on the defensive side of the ball this season, their offense was simply too bad to even keep them viably competitive in this game. Leading scorer D'Aundray Brown shot just 3-13 from the field for 9 points while third-leading scorer Jeremy Montgomery converted just 3-14 shots from the field for 7 points.

Indeed, Cleveland St. had a rough night shooting the ball from all over: They made just 33.8 % of their field goals, 25.0 % of three-pointers, and only made 4-6 free throws overall.

The Vikings, who have played just three home games all season, hope to rebound when they host the 3-7 Sam Houston State Bearkats on Thursday.
