NFL Draft 2012: Todd McShay's First Draft Has Trent Richardson To Browns

Heisman Finalist Trent Richardson has been a force with the Alabama Crimson Tide and their run to the BCS Championship game this season. According to ESPN's Todd McShay, his next stop after the title game could be in Cleveland. McShay released his first mock draft on Wednesday, and with the fourth overall pick he had the Browns drafting Richardson:

Richardson is a more complete back than former Crimson Tide teammate Mark Ingram, the No. 28 pick to New Orleans in 2011. Richardson has a rare combination of size, speed, power, agility, burst and versatility, and is the rare exception to the don't-take-an-RB-in-the-top-10 rule.

Richardson would be a solid addition to a Cleveland offense that has lacked punch all season, especially after the injury to Peyton Hillis. Richardson would also serve as a safety valve that would allow for the further development of quarterback Colt McCoy. Should the Browns go for a quarterback, McShay believes Matt Barkley of USC would be available at the No. 4 spot.
