The Cleveland St. Vikings lead the Youngstown St. Penguins 31-29 at halftime at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland.
The Vikings have struggled for most of the season on the offensive end, and today started with more of the same, as Cleveland St. trailed 19-7 after more than 10 minutes in the opening half. But Jeremy Montgomery has helped lead Cleveland St. back, already setting a season-high with 15 points in the first half, including 4-5 on three-pointers.
Montgomery, a senior guard from Chicago, Illinois, entered the game averaging 9.3 points, and his previous season high was 13 points in a 57-53 win over the Kent St. Golden Flashes.
Both teams are shooting an even 50.0 % from the field at halftime.
D'Aundray Brown, who entered the game leading Cleveland St. averaging 12.4 points, has chipped in with 8 points at the half.
