Cavaliers walk off the floor with a lead 42-39 at half

Trying to even the season series with the Nets, the Cavs stormed on defense, and it has paid off thus far. It wasn’t glamorous, but for right now, it’s acceptable, especially defensively. Ten Nets turnovers leading to 12 Cavalier fast break points has been a rarity this season. And the Nets shooting percentage stands at a minimal 32.5%.

Though it was not the ideal offensive effort, the execution came in the right place as the Cavs, for the first time in a long time, have dominated 26-12. J.J. Hickson is one point shy of an early double-double, leading the effort in the paint.

Sasha Vujacic and Chris Humphres led Nets scorers with eight a piece, and quality center Brook Lopez managed only five against the defensive effort of Cavs opposition Ryan Hollins.
