Travis Buck Sent Back To Clippers As Tribe Heads To National League

The Cleveland Indians are set to embark on a tour of National League cities and will add some reinforcements off the bench when they do. After last night’s 4-3 win over the Colorado Rockies, the Indians optioned OF Travis Buck back to Columbus. While no move was immediately made to replace Buck, the Indians are likely to re-call Shelley Duncan.

With no DH, the Indians offense is already going to take a hit with Travis Hafner expected to be relegated to a pinch hit role. That takes care of the left-side of the plate. The Indians had a huge hole from the right side, a void that Duncan should be able to fill.

The Indians begin a weekend series with the defending World Champion San Francisco Giants tomorrow night.
