The Cleveland State Vikings earned a share of first place in the Horizon League on Sunday afternoon with an efficient dismantling of the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers, 83-57.

Both teams entered the game with 6-2 conference records, looking to join Valparaiso at 7-2 atop the Horizon League standings. By the end of the game there was no doubt Cleveland State was the conference title contender as the Vikings put forth an efficient effort at both ends of the floor to run away from the Panthers in the second half for the25-point win.

Cleveland State shot 63.5% from the field as six different players scored in double figures, led by Trevon Harmon with 15 points. Tim Kamczyc scored all of his points from three-point land, making four of four shots from behind the arc to finish with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. As a team, the Vikings shot a tidy 7 for 13 on three-point shots.

Meanwhile on defense, Cleveland State held the Panthers to just 35.5% shooting from the floor. James Haarsma battled foul trouble for UW-Milwaukee but still finished with a team high 15 points, as the only Panther to reach double figures for the game.

Cleveland State hits the road for their next three games starting next Saturday when they visit Youngstown State.
