Cavaliers Vs Heat Score Update: Cleveland Loses 92-85 To LeBron And Heat

More: Recap and Game Analysis in Cavs loss to the Heat

The Cleveland Cavaliers tightened up their defense, but not quite enough to hold down old friend LeBron James and the Miami Heat, as the Cavaliers fell 92-85 at AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday night.

It was Chris Bosh, not James, who proved to be the toughest cover for Cleveland, as the power forward scored 35 points on 10-16 shooting. Meanwhile, James added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and turned the ball over 5 times.

With the loss, the Cavaliers (6-10) still have yet to beat a team that currently boasts a winning record.

Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 17 points and Samardo Samuels chipped in with 15 points off the bench.

The Cavaliers will return home to try to snap the four-game losing streak when they host the New York Knicks (7-10) on Wednesday night in a game scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. eastern. The Knicks had also been struggling of late, but they snapped out of it with a 111-78 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night.

Cavaliers Vs Heat Score Update: Cleveland And Miami Tied 37-37 At Half

The Cleveland Cavaliers came into tonight with a fairly respectable 6-9 record even after losing three in a row, but a win tonight would be by far the biggest of the season, for a variety of reasons.

And the Cavaliers are off to a strong start, tied with LeBron James and the Miami Heat 37-37 on the road at AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday night.

Cleveland entered having lost three straight, allowing 105, 114 and 121 points respectively, but they have held James to seven points and the Heat to just 37 points through two quarters. While the Heat came into the game on the heels of a home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, they were still second in the NBA averaging 105.4 points coming in.

The unlikely hero so far for the Cavaliers is backup forward Samardo Samuels, who has made 5-5 from the field to score 10 points in 10 minutes. Cleveland's bench has piled up 23 of their 37 points, and things are going surprisingly well for the Cavaliers.
