One night after the New York Knicks snapped an extended losing streak, the Cleveland Cavaliers will try to snap an extended losing streak of their own on Wednesday night, when they face... the New York Knicks.
After allowing 105, 114, and 121 points in three losses in a row, the Cavaliers buckled down a bit against one of the best NBA's offenses on Tuesday night before ultimately losing 92-85 to the Miami Heat in Miami. They hope to use that respectable performance as a springboard to a win against the Knicks, who just broke out with a 111-78 win over the Bobcats on Tuesday night, ending a six-game losing streak.
The Cavaliers (6-10) are tied with the Milwaukee Bucks (6-10), with both trailing the Knicks (7-10) by one game for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Some good news for Cavaliers fans is that Kyrie Irving's production has not slipped much during Cleveland's four-game losing streak, as he is averaging 16.5 points on 49.9 FG% along with 3.5 assists over the last four.
The game is scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m. eastern at Quicken Loans Arena.
