Kent State Vs. Toledo Final Score: Golden Flashes Post Impressive 77-61 Road Win Over Rockets

Kent State (14-6, 4-3) received a big boost off the bench from Chris Evans who scored a game-high 23 points and helped the Golden Flashes secure an impressive 77-61 win on the road at Toledo (10-11, 2-5).

Evans, a junior forward, made the most of his time off the bench with an efficient performance that saw him make 9 of 10 field goal attempts including 3 of 3 from behind the arc. When he wasn't shooting, Evans was busy adding six rebounds, three assists and four steals to an all-around solid game.

The Golden Flashes kept pace in the MAC East Division, remaining two games behind division leader Akron. Justin Greene added 14 points, while guard Michael Porrini also scored 14 and dished out eight assists for Kent State.

Toledo didn't fare well playing from behind and trying to catch up with three-pointers, but the iron was unkind to the Rockets as they made just one of 16 three-point attempts. Guard Rian Pearson led the Rockets with 22 points and seven rebounds.

Kent State remains on the road for their next game at Central Michigan on Tuesday. Meanwhile things don't get any easier for Toledo as they visit Akron to take on the Zips on Wednesday.
