More: Recap of the Cavs thrilling victory over the Celtics

Cleveland outscored the Boston Celtics 26-17 in the final quarter to earn a stunning road upset 88-87 on Sunday night. Kyrie Irving scored on a driving layup with two seconds left to give the Cavaliers the victory. Boston's last second attempt was off, allowing Cleveland to escape with the win.

Boston led 87-76 with just over four minutes to play, but the Celtics went cold as the Cavs scored the final 12 points of the ballgame. Irving finished the game with 23 points and six assists to lead the Cavs, but none were bigger than his final two points.

Anderson Verajao finished with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Alonzo Gee added an important 14 points off the bench. Gee also added six rebounds and four big steals to be an important catalyst off the bench. Cleveland now improves its record to 8-11 on the year, and they earned their fifth win away from home.
