The Cincinnati Bearcats are giving the No. 11 Georgetown Hoyas a real test, but they currently trail 34-32 at halftime at Verizon Center in a Big East showdown.

The Bearcats (12-4) are led by the backcourt duo of Dion Dixon, who has scored 13 points on 6-10 shooting from the field and Sean Kilpatrick, who has added 11 points on 4-9 shooting from the field.

However, Cincinnati has had troubled stopping Georgetown (13-2) all night, highlighted by Hollis Thompson, who is a perfect 5-5 shooting from the field and has scored 14 points. The Hoyas are shooting a robust 56.0 % from the field at the break, including a 5-7 mark on three-pointers.

For the Bearcats to come out on top, they will probably need more from senior forward Yancy Gates, who came into the game averaging 12.4 points but who has two points on 0-3 shooting at the half.
