2012 NCAA Hockey schedule: Season starts with intriguing weekend matchups

The 2012-13 NCAA hockey season is underway, and there are plenty of quality local teams that play this weekend.

College hockey season is underway, and busy 19-game schedule for Friday features some local action as No. 8 Miami (OH) hosts Colgate, Bowling Green hosts No. 10 Union and Ohio State hits the road to take on Minnesota-Duluth in non-conference action. On Saturday those back-to-back series wrap up for each team, and more will be know about the direction of each club early in the season.
