The Fordham offense has out-gained the Cincinnati Bearcats in the first quarter of Saturday's game, but the Rams only have a field goal to show for it and trail 14-3 entering the second quarter.

Fordham opened the game by driving all the way to the Cincinnati 17-yard line, but quarterback Ryan Higgins was sacked by Dan Giordano, who caused Higgins to fumble. Deven Drane recovered the ball and returned it 76 yards for a touchdown.

On Fordham's next possession, the Rams drove into Cincinnati territory again, but had to settle for a 45-yard field goal when their drive stalled.

The Bearcats extended their lead when quarterback Munchie Legaux found Travis Kelce for a 78-yard touchdown pass with 4:10 remaining in the first.

Higgins is 9-for-13 for 68 yards for Fordham. Carlton Koonce has 11 carries for 33 yards.

Legaux has completed 4-for-4 passes for 98 yards. Cincinnati has run just six offensive plays.
