Jim O'Connor-US PRESSWIRE

Kent State will look to maintain their lead in the MAC's East division.

The Kent State Golden Flashes are on a crash course with the Ohio Bobcats to play a de facto division title match in the last week of the season, but before that, they will need to win at least one of the two games on their schedule. The first comes on Saturday when they visit the Miami Redhawks (4-5, 3-2), who themselves are fighting for bowl eligibility.

Miami's potential bowl eligibility took a hit last Saturday when they fell to the lowly Buffalo Bulls, and they have lost three of their last four games. The one win in that stretch, though, came against Ohio, which was the Bobcats' first loss of the season. That win also came at home, and the Redhawks figure to provide a stiff test for the Flashes.

Kent State, meanwhile, is on a seven-game winning streak, which includes a road victory over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. A potential conference title game appearance is on the horizon, as is a potential Top 25 ranking if they can take care of business on Saturday.

Game time: 1 p.m. ET

Online streaming video: ESPN3

Point spread: Kent State favored by 5 points
