Jim O'Connor-US PRESSWIRE

The latest bowl projections from SB Nation's Jason Kirk for five Ohio-based MAC schools: Kent State, Ohio, Toledo, Bowling Green and Miami (Ohio).

With just a few weeks left in the college football regular season, the Kent St. Golden Flashes are among the five MAC teams based in Ohio that SB Nation's Jason Kirk projects to participate in this year's bowl season. He sees them in the Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 15 against the Utah State Aggies.

Here are the bowl projections by Kirk for the other four Ohio-based MAC teams for this week:

  • Ohio Bobcats (8-1): Military Bowl on Dec. 27 against the San Jose St. Spartans
  • Toledo Rockets (8-1): Little Caesars Bowl on Dec. 26 against the Middle Tenn. St. Blue Raiders
  • Bowling Green Falcons (6-3): Hawaii Bowl on Dec. 24 against the San Diego St. Aztecs
  • Miami (Ohio) Redhawks (4-5): Beef O'Brady's Bowl on Dec. 21 against TBA
  • Of those five teams, only Miami (Ohio) isn't qualified for bowl season yet, but Kirk appears to optimistic that the Redhawks will win at least two of their final three games. With games remaining against Kent St., Central Michigan and Ball St., it's not a lock that will happen, though.
