Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland State Vikings (22-9, 12-6 Horizon) finished the regular season on a high note, defeating the Wright State Raiders (13-18, 7-11 Horizon) 77-55 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland on Saturday.

Trey Harmon led all scorers with 20 points, Jeremy Montgomery broke out of a three-game slump to score 17 points, and Wright State struggled to find a groove offensively against Cleveland State, finishing with more than twice as many turnovers (15) as assists (7).

The win makes it two in a row for the Vikings, who have recovered after dropping five games in a row and will now take some momentum into the Horizon League Tournament.

Cleveland State finishes the regular season in second place in the Horizon League, trailing only the Valparaiso Crusaders, who won the league with a 14-4 record.

The Vikings have earned a bye into the second round of the Horizon League Tournament, which begins on Feb. 28. As such, they do not know right now who they will play in the tournament.
