The 8-2 Cleveland State Vikings currently lead the Horizon conference, or more accurately are stuck in a tie for the top spot with the 9-3 Valparaiso Crusaders, who the Vikings had one of their few losses against this season. The Vikings can take an outright lead Friday night as they face the worst team in the entire conference, the Loyola Ramblers.
Loyola have had a tough time of it this season, winning a couple of games in non conference play to provide some hope before absolutely collapsing in Horizon play en route to an 0-11 record. Games against the Ramblers tend to be low scoring affairs as no team has yet put up 70 on them this season but they have struggled to score more than 60, achieving that number only three times all season and only once in conference play, a 68-64 overtime loss to Youngstown State.
There should be few issues for Cleveland in this one, even if it is on the road. The game will be at the Joseph J. Gentile Center at 9 PM ET.
