In what could recently have been considered the biggest possible mismatch in the NHL, the Columbus Blue Jackets will try to shock the St. Louis Blues when they face off at Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Saturday night.
St. Louis is on top of the NHL with 93 points, while Columbus sits in last with 51 poitns. Then again, the Blue Jackets are the team riding a season-high four game winning streak into St. Louis, while the Blues have won three in a row.
The Blue Jackets, who have outscored their opponents 13-5 over the four-game winning streak, face one of their toughest tests yet, as the Blues improved to 20-1-3 in their last 24 home games when they defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 on Thursday.
To make matters more difficult for Columbus, Steve Mason, who has been in goal for all four games of the Blue Jackets' winning streak, will not be available against the Blues, after injuring his hand.
The game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
