NCAA Tournament 2012 Bracket Update: Xavier Is No. 10 Seed, Will Face Notre Dame

Xavier emerged on the right side of the bubble, earning a No. 10 seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Musketeers will play Notre Dame.

The 2012 NCAA Tournament bracket and field has been announced, and the Xavier Musketeers will receive a No. 10 seed in the South region. The Musketeers' first opponent will be the Notre Dame. If the Musketeers wins their first matchup, they will face the winner of No. 2 Duke and No. 15 Lehigh

Xavier earned the No. 10 seed after losing in the Atlantic 10 Tournament on Sunday. The Musketeers were squarely on the bubble, but helped their case with wins over Dayton and Saint Louis.

No. 1 Kentucky vs. No. 16 Mississippi Valley State/Western Kentucky

No. 8 Iowa State vs. No. 9 Connecticut.

No. 5 Wichita State vs. No. 12 VCU

No. 4 Indiana vs. No. 13 New Mexico State

No. 2 Duke vs. No. 15 Lehigh

No. 7 Notre Dame vs. No. 10 Xavier

No. 3 Baylor vs. No. 14 South Dakota State

No. 6 UNLV vs. No. 11 Colorado
