The No. 2 seed Ohio State Buckeyes face the No. 7 seed Gonzaga Bulldogs in the third round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Big Ten Buckeyes will have their hands full with the Bulldogs out of the West Coast Conference as Gonzaga proved in their first-round romp over West Virginia that they won't be pushed around by teams from the big conferences.
Seven foot center Robert Sacre leads a front line for the Zags that won't have any problems matching the size or physicality Ohio State has to offer. Jared Sullinger will have to be in attack mode in the paint for Ohio State while Deshaun Thomas needs to back up his 31 point, 12 rebound effort against Loyola (Md.) with another productive game.
The backcourt matchup may be even more intriguing as Kevin Pangos leads the attack for Gonzaga averaging 13.8 points and 3.4 assists per game. Pangos will have to be ready on Saturday as Ohio State's Aaron Craft will present a relentless challenge.
The East Region game will be at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Tip off is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Eastern time and the game will be televised on CBS.
