Cavaliers Vs. Hawks Final Score: Atlanta Is Too Much, Defeat Cleveland 103-87

Stay connected for news and updates

The new lineup for the Cleveland Cavaliers was not successful in their first game as they fell to the Atlanta Hawks 103-87. The Hawks offense was too much for the Cavaliers and shot 50 percent from the field including going 8-for-18 from three-point range.

The Cavaliers defense allowed the Hawks to have four players score in double figures with Joe Johnson scoring a game-high 28 points on an impressive 11-of-16 shooting from the field.

Alonzo Gee scored a team-high 20 points for the Cavaliers and Kyrie Irving chipped in with 19. Irving did get an increase in minutes from 30 to 37, but he was not able to take advantage of that in this game to put up more points.
