Kendall Marshall Injury: North Carolina Coach Roy Williams Expresses Doubt About Status

Though Kendall Marshall had the cast removed from his right wrist on Wednesday, that doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be back in time for Friday's game between North Carolina and Ohio. In fact, there's significant doubt as to whether or not he'll be good to go, and that could thoroughly shift that matchup. And now there's some more doubt, from a pretty significant source.

That source being Roy Williams, North Carolina head coach. Brett McMurphy had a Tweet with a quote from Williams, in which he expresses some serious doubts that Marshall will be ready to go:

Definitely a bad sign for North Carolina, but a good sign for Ohio, so there's that. Things get quite a bit worse in another Tweet from McMurphy, in which he quotes Williams as saying that Marshall "can't brush his teeth right now." Marshall broke his wrist in a fall during the second half of North Carolina's win over Creighton. He had surgery on Monday to repair the damage.
