White is a freshman guard averaging 4.3 minutes per game. He has scored just 23 points and dished out 19 assists all season.
Marshall broke his wrist in North Carolina's win over Creighton, which required surgery to insert a screw into his wrist. he has not practice since the injury and Tar Heels coach Roy Williams did not expect he'd be able to play Friday night.
