The Ohio State Buckeyes are headed to their first Final Four since 2007 and they will face one of the titans of college basketball, the Kansas Jayhawks. Thad Matta's club earned a trip to New Orleans with their thrilling 77-70 win over No. 1 seed Syracuse on Saturday night.
The Jayhawks secured the last spot in the Final Four with a double-digit victory over North Carolina on Sunday afternoon. It was a back-and-forth game between the KU and the Tar Heels, but Bill Self's club went on a run over the final three minutes to walk away with the win, setting up a rematch from the regular season.
The regular season game had one large missing component - namely, Jared Sullinger, who sat out with back spasms. The second edition will surely include Sullinger and is set as the nightcap primetime game on Saturday night, following the Kentucky rivalry game. Jim Nantz, Steve Kerr, and Buckeye alum Clark Kellogg will have the call.
