Daniel Gibson Injury: Cavaliers Guard Tears Tendon In Ankle

The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced that reserve guard Daniel Gibson has torn a tendon in his ankle and will continue to be evaluated, according to CBS Sports' EyeOnBasketball Twitter page.

Initially, x-rays were negative and the Cavaliers listed Gibson day-to-day with a sprained ankle after injured his right ankle during the Cavaliers game in New Jersey against the Nets on March 19th. However, Gibson did not progress as expected at which point an MRI was arranged, which revealed the torn tendon in his right foot and ankle.

Gibson is averaging 7.5 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game.
