In the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament on Tuesday, the higher seed won in each of the four games, setting up a quarterfinals of seed one through eight on Friday night in Atlantic City.

The most intriguing matchup is most likely the night cap between Dayton and Xavier, in which a loss will probably burst the bubble for either team. Xavier is currently among the last four teams in the tournament in Joe Lunardi's latest projection, while Dayton is still considered a bubble team, but will need multiple wins to pad their resume.

Noon: No. 8 UMass (21-10, 9-7 A-10) vs. No. 1 Temple (24-6, 13-3 A-10)

2:30 p.m.: No. 5 St. Joseph's (20-12, 9-7) vs. No. 4 St. Bonaventure (17-11, 10-6 A-10)

6:30 p.m.: No. 7 La Salle (21-11, 9-7) vs. No. 2 St. Louis (24-6, 12-4 A-10)

9 p.m.: No. 6 Dayton (20-11, 9-7) winner vs. No. 3 Xavier (19-11, 10-6 A-10)

Saturday, March 10

1 p.m.: Temple/UMass winner vs. St. Bonaventure/St. Joseph's winner

3:30 p.m.: St. Louis/La Salle winner vs. Xavier/Dayton winner

Sunday, March 11

1 p.m.: Semifinal winners
