The Cleveland Indians entered this past weekend's series with the Kansas City Royals as the worst hitting team in the majors. The front office added Johnny Damon, alarmed by the lack of productivity in through the first week of the season. But the Royals' pitching staff was just what the doctor ordered, as the Tribe bats came alive at Kauffman Stadium to set a franchise record at the start of the season. Sheldon Ocker of the Akron Beacon-Journal has more:

For the first time in franchise history, the Tribe scored eight or more runs in each of the first three road games of the season.....The 32 runs scored against the Royals are the most in a three-game set since April 7-9, 2000, when the club scored 37 against Tampa Bay.
