The Cleveland Cavaliers had a chance to gain a game on the Detroit Pistons to try and remove themselves from the basement of the Central Division, but played like they'd rather have the extra lottery odds in a 39-point shellacking on Tuesday night, losing 116-77.

The Cavaliers trailed by 50 points going into the fourth quarter, 100-50, and may have lost by 60 if the Pistons didn't clear their bench for the fourth. Rookie Brandon Knight scored a game-high 28 points on 11-for-12 shooting and assisted a game-high seven baskets to boot.

The Cavs' active rookie Tristan Thompson did have a double-double in the embarrassing loss with 12 points and 13 rebounds, but he also shot 6-for-16.

The Cavs have six games remaining on their schedule and play against Philadelphia on Wednesday night.
