Defense dominated on a rainy Saturday afternoon during the Ohio Bobcats' annual Green and White Game held at the end of Spring practices. For the day, the first and second team defense forced six turnovers, four of which came on interceptions thrown by redshirt junior quarterback Tyler Tettleton.
Redshirt freshman Derrius Vick looked a little sharper, but still tossed two picks and endured a litany of false start penalties. Both quarterbacks had their moments. Tettleton found redshirt sophomore wide receiver Chase Cochran for a 58-yard reception in the first half. Vick missed several opportunities to make plays near the end zone, but made good on a first-and-goal pass to tight end Art Jordan for a score as time expired.
The running backs fared better than their passing counterparts. Redshirt junior Beau Blankenship reeled off runs of 49 and 22 yards on the day. Ryan Boykin put Green on the board with a short touchdown run into the endzone.
