Indians Vs. Angels: Tribe Lose Game Two 2-1

The Cleveland Indians can now only get a series victory - not a sweep - over the Los Angeles Angels when they play in game three on Sunday, as the Tribe dropped game two by a score of 2-1. Cleveland fell due to a strong outing from Dan Haren, who pitched eight full innings, giving up just one earned run and four hits for a 3.34 earned run average. He improves to 1-1 on the season.

Cleveland was only able to muster offense in the fourth inning, when Jason Kipnis singled to right center and then Asdrubal Cabrera was walked. Haren almost got out of the inning scoreless after Travis Hafner flied out to left and Carlos Santana struck out swinging, but Jack Hannahan singled to right, scoring Kipnis. Cabrera and Hannahan advanced on a wild pitch, but Shelley Duncan ended up striking out looking and that was the end of the fourth.

Los Angeles took advantage early, with Kendrys Morales scoring Howard Kendrick in the first inning with a single and Torii Hunter hitting a homerun at the top of the fourth to go up 2-0. Albert Pujols had one hit and struck out once in four at bats. Starter Jeanmar Gomez was given the loss for the Indians, giving up five hits over six innings with two earned runs and two walks with seven strikeouts.

Game three is set for 1:05 p.m. eastern on Sunday.
