Masters 2012 Leaderboard Update: Jason Dufner Enters Amen Corner At 3-Under

Cleveland native Jason Dufner is halfway through his second round at The Masters and he's still right there on the first page of the leaderboard. Dufner had an up-and-down first nine, with three birdies and one double bogey. Dufner birdied the second and third hole, which are prime opportunities to climb up the leaderboard and are must birdies in order to put together a contending round. But he gave it right back on the long par-3 fourth hole, with a double bogey. He got one back on the next par-3, the shorter sixth hole where the players tee off from a high perch and hit over the patrons sitting on the side of the hill below. Dufner put it close and drilled his put to move to 4-under.

Dufner moved back to three-under with a bogey on the ninth hole. He's heading into Amen Corner now where you can watch the action live on Masters.com. The noted scribe Herbert Warren Wind named it Amen Corner in Sports Illustrated, because of the hit-and-pray nature of the approach shots at No. 11, 12, and 13 with Rae's Creek ever-present. He now enters the portion of the course where you can make-or-break a round, with huge birdie opportunities at the par-five 13th and 15th holes.
