Atlantic 10 Baseball Tournament 2012, Dayton: No. 2 Seed Flyers Look To Capture Crown

The Dayton Flyers enter the 2012 A-10 Baseball Tournament as the No. 2 seed and tied for the best record in the conference.

The Atlantic 10 Baseball Tournament gets underway this week from the Bronx, with Fordham hosting the 2012 edition at Houlihan Park. The Dayton Flyers earned the No. 2 seed this year, and will face the winner of the Rhode Island and St. Joseph's game on the second day of action on Thursday. The Rams and Hawks will play Wednesday afternoon. The St. Louis Billikens received the top seed after a 17-7 record in the conference and clinching the tiebreaker against the Flyers with a 2-1 head-to-head record. Dayton's rival, Xavier, did not finish in the top six in the conference and failed to qualify for the Tournament.

No. 3 Rhode Island vs. No. 6 Saint Joseph's, 3:30 p.m., May 23

No. 1 Saint Louis vs. Massachusetts/Richmond, Noon, May 24

No. 2 Dayton vs. Rhode Island/Saint Joseph's, 3:30 p.m., May 24

You can the watch the first three days of the tournament on the conference's website, www.Atlantic10.com. CBS Sports Network will broadcast the title game on Saturday at Noon.
