The Dayton Flyers are making their first-ever trip to the NCAA regionals -- and they'll have a stiff test when they get there.

The Flyers, the No. 4 seed in the College Station Regional, were 31-28 on the season and 17-7 in the Atlantic-10. They earned a spot in the regionals thanks to their 3-0 win over Richmond in the A-10 championship.

They will take on No. 1 seed Texas A&M at 7:35 on Friday. The Aggies, who have made five straight NCAA Tournament appearances and who made a College World Series appearance last season, were 42-16 and 16-8 in the Big 12. The Aggies are the 15th winningest college baseball team of all time.

The No. 2 seed is TCU and No. 3 is Ole Miss. Those four will compete in a double-elimination tournament for a chance to advance to the Super Regionals, which begin June 8. The winner of that goes on to the College World Series in Omaha.

Dayton, which started the season just 2-9, leads the nation in stolen bases with 162. There are eight different players with at least 10 steals, including short stop Brian Blaski, who broke the school's single-season record this year with 35.
