2012 NBA Draft: Cavs Could Look To Trade Up In Deal With Bobcats

More: SB Nation's latest NBA mock draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are happy with their placement in the 2012 NBA Draft, sitting with the No. 4 overall pick with a slew of impressive options available. They're also happy with the fact that they have four picks in the top 34 to work with, but it's not necessarily the best situation for them to use them.

Cleveland already boasts a young roster with some up-and-comers, and adding four more rookies to the equation could spell disastrous for on-the-court experience. As such, they could be looking to package some of those picks to move up even further from No. 4. They certainly don't need to, but a report from Ohio.com suggests that the team could really be interested in the move.

For one, the report suggests that Kentucky's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is the team's No. 2 choice on their draft board behind Anthony Davis. It says that the Cavs like him more than guys like Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes and Thomas Robinson. It also says that it gets a little murky after that point.

Adding to that is a quote from Cavs general manager Chris Grant, in which he notes the team likes to be aggressive:

"With our ownership group, they like being aggressive and we like being aggressive," Grant said. "We'll look at a lot of different options. I'd presume we'll be pretty active."

It will be interesting to see if the Cavaliers are able to work a deal out with the Charlotte Bobcats, who seem to be the only team interested in trading down in the top four. New Orleans is obviously going to stay at No. 1 and it looks like Washington is in no rush to move from No. 3, either. It would likely cost Cleveland both of their first-round picks, but if Kidd-Gilchrist is the guy they really want, then it could be worth it to them.
