College World Series 2012: Kent State's Potential CWS Opponent Goes Three Games

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kent State Golden Flashes are only one win away from the College World Series in Omaha, and their opponent will have to go the full three games in the Super Regionals to make it. Kent State, if they win, will play the winner between Arkansas and Baylor. The Razorbacks stretched that best-of-three series to a third game on Monday with a 5-4 win over Baylor.

Baylor was three outs away from advancing when Arkansas scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth to stay alive. Baylor's shortstop booted a potential game-ending double-play to load that bases, then Baylor hit the next two batters to give Arkansas the victory.

Monday's winner-take-all game between Baylor and Arkansas will take place at 6 pm Monday.
