VIDEO: Dennis Miller Is Living The Dream At 2012 U.S. Open

Stay connected for news and updates

There are couple great stories at this year's U.S. Open that emanate from the USGA's sectional qualifying process. Many are familiar with the journey of Casey Martin, and are becoming familiar with the remarkable story of 14-year-old Andy Zhang earning a spot. A third story that has received a lot of attention this week is that of Youngstown's Dennis Miller, a pro at Mill Creek.

Miller earned his spot by draining a birdie in playoff at Scioto last week. The putt hung on the edge for four seconds before falling in the cup. Miller had already walked away, exasperated with his hands on his head before the crowd's eruption alerted him that he would be playing in his first U.S. Open after failing in 12 previous qualifying attempts. Golf Channel has chronicled his time in San Francisco this week, and it's an amazing video. Miller even got a chance to meet Tiger Woods on the range, and he was mic'ed up for the exchange.
