The second round of the 2012 U.S. Open concluded on Friday night with a familiar face on top of the leaderboard. Tiger Woods shook off a rough start to the day finishing strong at 1-under and in a three-way tie for the lead.
Woods had a 36 after the first nine. He changed course with a birdie on No. 10 and another on No. 13 to finish with a 70 in the second round. He is now tied with Jim Furyk and David Toms for the lead at 1-under. Those three are the only players to finish the second round with a total score under par.
