The Dayton Flyers try to keep their season alive on Saturday when they face the TCU Horned Frogs in the NCAA Regional at College Stations, TX. The Flyers and Horned Frogs meet in the losers bracket of the double-elimination regional tournament after both teams lost their opener on Friday.
Dayton fell to the No. 1 seeded Texas A&M Aggies 4-1, while No. 2 seeded TCU dropped a 6-2 game to Ole Miss. The Flyers (31-29) face a tough challenge to avoid elimination against the talented Frogs (36-20) who will turn to strong pitching prospect Andrew Mitchell (5-3) to keep their season alive. Mitchell hasn't lived up to expectations this season and struggled last week in the Mountain West Conference tournament. The Flyers will turn to senior right-hander Tim Bury (8-2) to try to shut down the TCU offense.
