Columbus Blue Jackets Schedule For 2012-2013 Announced

The NHL on Thursday released 2012-13 schedules for all 30 teams. The Blue Jackets will open the season with a three-game road trip, starting with an Oct. 13 trip to Chicago.

The NHL on Thursday released schedules for every NHL team. The regular season starts on Thursday, Oct. 11, and the Columbus Blue Jackets will first play on Saturday, Oct. 13, on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blue Jackets will follow that up with two more roadies, first against the Minnesota Wild, then the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Columbus will play its first home game Friday, Oct. 19, against the Vancouver Canucks. Home game No. 2 will be Oct. 23 against the Detroit Red Wings.

The Blue Jackets have three four-game road trips and two five-game home stands.

The NHL will have four games on Oct. 11. On Oct. 12, the Los Angeles Kings will raise their first-ever championship banner.
