On Wednesday afternoon, Jordan Bastian the Cleveland Indians beat reporter for MLB.com reported via his twitter account that Johnny Damon had been activated from the paternity list and will return to the lineup against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday night. In order to make room for Damon, the club will option catcher Luke Carlin to Triple-A Columbus.
As expected, OF Johnny Damon activated from paternity list & C Luke Carlin optioned to AAA Columbus to clear a roster spot.

Damon understands that he is going to need to improve his performance in his return. His is currently way below the Mendoza Line, batting .180 on the season.
