The 2011-12 NBA Rookie of the Year is a can't-miss superstar and one of the brightest young playmakers in professional basketball. But that doesn't mean Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving still can't impress the heck out of every last soul at this week's Team USA camp.
From Warriors beat writer Marcus Thompson:
Jerry Colangelo said Kyrie Irving was the one guy on the Select Team who can switch to national team right now

From Blazers Edge writer Ben Golliver:
Asked LeBron James which Select Team member has stood out the most this week and he said Kyrie Irving.

The flashy Irving already produced a bevy of highlight-reel plays over the weekend with the Select Team, but it's becoming apparent to everyone just how insanely good this kid is at just 20 years old. With lightning-quick speed in the open court and elite-level ball-handling ability, it's hard to believe that we aren't looking at the next great NBA superstar at the point guard position here.
