2012 British Open Leaderboard: Adam Scott Alone At Top, Jason Dufner At Even Par

Cleveland native Jason Dufner had a rough back nine and finished at even par 70 for the first round of The Open Championship.

Dufner was two-under through the front nine, but recorded two double-bogeys on the back nine before birdies on holes No. 16 and No. 18 pulled him back to even par.

Adam Scott is atop the leaderboard after shooting a 6-under 64. If he had birdied No. 18 instead of bogey it, he would have shot the lowest round in a major championship. Scott scored three birdies and one bogey on the front nine, with five birdies and the one bogey on the back nine. From holes 11-16, Scott birdied five of the six holes.

Zach Johnson, Nicholas Colsaerts and Paul Lawrie are one stroke behind Scott. Some notable names, including Tiger Woods, are tied for sixth after a 3-under 67. Columbus native and Kent State alum Ben Curtis couldn't find the form that won him the 2003 tournament, as he shot a 5-over 75.

Here is the full leaderboard and below is the top 10.
