The Cleveland Cavaliers' 2012-13 schedule will be released Thursday evening.

All 2012-13 NBA schedules, including the Cleveland Cavaliers', will be announced at 7 p.m. Eastern Thursday night.

The Cavs' first preseason game, Oct. 9 against the Milwaukee Bucks, has already been announced.

If the pattern holds, expect Cleveland to have an early-season contests with the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics. In the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons, Cleveland opened with Boston and then played Toronto in Game 2. The Cavs have played Toronto either first or second in each of the past three seasons.

Cleveland will field a young squad heading into 2013. Between Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller, the Cavs will have four first- or second-year players who figure to log big minutes.

After suffering a fractured hand this summer, Irving is expected to be ready for the beginning of the season.
