According to a report by CantonRep.com on Tuesday morning, Ohio State freshman running back Bri'onte Dunn is not expected to face drug charges stemming from his arrest on July 30.

After investigating a 30-minute police cruiser video, taking witness statements as well as statements from police officers, Alliance City Law Director Andrew Zumbar has authorized the filing of disorderly conduct and a seat belt violation against Dunn.

Via CantonRep.com:

"His statement is consistent that he denies possession of the objects," Zumbar said. "He was polite during the entire stop. Otherwise his demeanor was unremarkable in terms of his conduct."

According to SB Nation's Ohio State site, Land-Grant Holy Land, Dunn's mother arrived at the scene and stated that the small amount of Marijuana and wood pipe where her possessions and not her son's. Apparently, that statement and Dunn's consistent denial of ownership was enough to sway the authorities to drop the drug charges.
