Storm Klein Dismissed From Ohio State Football Team

Another offseason incident cost the Ohio St. Buckeyes a key player this weekend, as Storm Klein was dismissed from the team following a domestic violence arrest on Friday. Klein allegedly grabbed the victim and threw her against the front door of private apartment. Urban Meyer did not take long to act, throwing the linebacker and one-tie "Mr. Football" in Ohio off the team.

SB Nation's Land Grant Holy Land spoke about what Klein's dismissal from the team means for the program going forward:

Klein, who started 10 games for Ohio State in 2011, had faded in the depth chart behind talented sophomore Curtis Grant and also battled injuries most of the spring. Subsequently he wasn't expected to play a huge role with the Buckeyes. Ohio State will have talented incoming freshman Camren Williams in the fold shortly along with the likes of Stewart Smith, Luke Roberts, Connor Crowell, and Joshua Perry providing depth at the linebacker positions. Seeing a senior's career cut short can sometimes leave a team short handed, but it shouldn't have a significant impact on Ohio State's defensive formidability.

In addition to Klein, Jake Stoneburner and Jack Mewhort had a run-in with police this offseason and are currently suspended from the program. But last week, Urban Meyer did indicate that he speaks with the two likely starters every week.
