Indians Vs. Royals Score Update: Cleveland Down After Five

The Cleveland Indians are trying to break a four-game losing streak, but they trail the Kansas City Royals 5-1 heading into the sixth inning on Wednesday night.

The Indians fell down 2-0 in the first inning, with Alcides Escobar scoring on a Carlos Santana throwing error and Lorenzo Cain scoring on a Billy Butler groundout for Kansas City.

The Royals extended the lead to 4-0 in the second after an RBI-single from Jarrod Dyson and an RBI-double by Alex Gordon.

Cleveland's lone run came from a solo home run by Santana in the fourth.

Cain made it 5-1 with an RBI-double in the fifth.

The Indians have managed just three hits off of Luis Mendoza.
